IZUMI FOODS Co., Ltd. was founded by Junichi Minosaki, and since then, we have been committed to natural seasonings under the guidance of Dr. Takeo Koizumi, professor emeritus at Tokyo University of Agriculture. Eating is important to survival, and from the aspect of seasonings, we have been striving to be a company supporting “Health with food”.
We always aim to be a company with technical capabilities and offer 2 major product lines of alcohol extract, which is our field of expertise: “FUMIGEN series” that is highly concentrated extract and “TENNENKOUMI-DASHI series” that gives the flavor of natural dashi. We have been committed to “Itteki no Chikara® (Power of a drop)” of seasonings in the processed foods and have always tried to improve our technique.
Also, since the foundation of our company, we became acquainted with people in Makurazaki, Kagoshima where is Japan’s top producer of katsuobushi (dried fish bonito), and have been working on our tasks every day with a sense of mission as a “salesperson for Makurazaki” that is to tell people how wonderful the seasonings, etc. produced with katsuobushi, which is a specialty good of Makurazaki, are. From that perspective, we have been committed to domestic (Japanese) products without using food additives as much as possible. We focus on natural dashi among seasonings and operate considering the excellence of dashi to be the basis of Japanese cuisine and hoping it would be the basis of seasoning of Japanese cuisine for processed food companies. In order for it to remind everyone of IZUMI FOODS, we will face dashi every day, study and continue pursuing the depth of natural seasonings.
As Japanese, we are proud that washoku (traditional Japanese cuisine) has been added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list, and authentic Japanese cuisine receives recognition from people around the world. From this, we established a trading company to spread the excellence of authentic dashi and natural seasonings all over the world, and we would be happy if we can help spreading the excellence of Japanese cuisine and dash around the world.
We still work on improving the quality of our work, and we will keep making efforts to play a role in handing down traditional Japanese cuisine including dashi, fermented food, and so on to posterity and continue aiming to be a development-oriented company with high technical capabilities that can be of help to our clients’ product development.
We would greatly appreciate your continued support.
